Rain had learned the ins and outs of engines, cars and motorcycles back when she first joined up with the Motorcycle Club, and she found she really enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, so she got all the necessary permits and licenses and got a job at a local garage. Being that she was a vampire, she had to work nights, and luckily there was just enough work so that she could make a modest enough living even with only working at night and having to take a lot of time off for club business.
It was rather slow tonight though so Rain decided to do some work on a motorcycle she was restoring after finishing up her work. Just then she felt a familiar presence. She stood and turned to find her Sire standing in the doorway. "How did you find me?" she said angrily. Their parting hadn't exactly gone well and she was less than pleased to see him.

He knew Rain wasn't going to want to see him after they had had quite a parting. Still he had to see her. She was the reason he had come to live in the small town of Celestial Springs. He was not a big fan of small towns. You couldn't really hide yourself well in small towns compared to cities where there were so many people to distract attention from you. Though the tall and handsome man, born originally during Ancient Egyptian times was hardly invisible even in a crowd, which made it all the more distasteful for him to be living in such a small town. "Not even a hello for your master. Tsk, tsk" he said trying to lighten her mood. "I know you aren't happy to see me, but I am so happy to see you. I've quite missed you Raina." he said with a smile.
He closed the door behind him and leaned against it, not daring to move closer when she was so obviously unhappy with seeing him. "I am sorry for what happened between us. I only hope to talk with you in order to work things out. Can we talk?" he said.

Rain dropped the tool that was in her hand onto the ground lightly and then crossed her arms over her chest. She sighed. "Look I don't care what you want." she said. "You released me so I don't have to listen to you. As far as I'm concerned you can feel free to walk right back out that door." she said when he called himself her master and "tsk tsk"d her.
She rolled her eyes when he apologized. "Fine, you've got five minutes to say what you've gotta say." she said.

Caleb stood up straight and moved in front of her when she gave him a chance to talk with her. He hugged her, though he knew she would not welcome it. "The truth is, I made a mistake when I released you." he said. "We were both so angry over what happened that I thought it might be best to let you have space and go off on your own." he said. "I moved to town last week. I own that new antique shop in the town square." he said.
"All to make amends with you. I am not saying I want to put things back to where they were before, and in fact that isn't possible. Once a Maker releases their progeny it can't be undone except with powerful magic. However, I would like you back into my life in whatever way you are willing." he said honestly. "We can work up to it of course, no need to be hurried." he added.

Rain just stared at Caleb expressionless and if she hadn't been breathing out of habit (to appear normal to anyone who didn't know that vampires existed), she would appear to be a statue instead of a sort of alive being. "Well, I take it you're not about to leave anytime soon and you're stubborn as hell so I am just going to give in on this." she said dropping her arms.
"Don't get me wrong though. I haven't forgiven you for anything and we're not going to be bffs all of a sudden, but I'm willing to make amends if it'll keep you from making my life miserable." she said. She lit up a cigarette. "Let's start with catching up a bit I guess." she said inhaling the smoke. "Where have you been sulking the past 30 or so years". she said with a half-smile joking around a bit. She might be angry with him but if they were going to move on she had to lighten the mood a bit.

Caleb smiled. "There is the Raina I know." he said referring to her attitude about him not giving up and leaving. His smile faded a bit when she said she wouldn't forgive him just yet. "That's ok, I understand." he said. "As long as you give me a chance and we can get to a more civil level of conversation then I will honestly be happy." That was a lie. He had searched all over for her and finally found her. He wouldn't be happy until she was by his side again, though even he was not sure that was going to be happeing.
He chuckled at her insult. He might have taken offense to it if it was not for the fact that she was asking what he had been up to which meant she must care about him even on a small level. He smiled. "Oh, here and there." he answered. "Honestly I just traveled around for a couple of years after we parted. Made my way back to the place I lived when I was human, took quite a long time to find it but I found my tomb. It was odd to see my name in the language I had long since forgotten, yet I was able to recognize my name." he said with a chuckle as he thought back on the memory of it. He looked up to her. "Then I spent the last 20 years looking for you. You really hid yourself well." he said.

Rain chuckled. "Well, we'll see. But I think we both have different definitions now about what exactly is civil conversation." she said. She had been in a biker gang for close to 20 years and had seen and heard many things that had changed her view on life and what is right and what is wrong. She leaned down to pick the tool she dropped back up as he answered her question. "You went back huh? Thought you always said you'd never return there. Too many bad memories or something." she said as she continued working.
She looked up though when he said he had spent the last 20 years looking for her. "I wasn't hiding." she said. "I ended up here about 20 years ago and then decided to stay. Been here ever since. It's pretty out of the way so I can see how it might seem that way." she said. "What do you think of this place anyway. Seems like it wouldn't be quite your style." she said turning back to the motorcycle.

Caleb moved to the wall on the other side of the bike and leaned against it. He chuckled when she said that they had different definitions on what was a civil conversation. He frowned when she mentioned that he had once said he could never go back to his home place because of bad memories. "Well, my brother did try to poison me resulting in the life I have now. But after we parted I found myself bored and lost and could no longer remember being human. So I went there to regain some of my humanity. It helped to remind myself of that time." he explained.
He chuckled when Rain said she wasn't hiding. "I was only joking." he said with a smile. "So you have been here most of this time. After I heard about this place and found out you were here I did wonder if you had been here for awhile." he said. "It's quaint, and truthfully I do not know if it is a place for me, but it's growing on me." he said.

Rain frowned. "Your brother poisoned you? You never told me the reason why there was bad blood in your home city." she said looking up from the bike. "Can't say I blame you for waiting so long to return." she added. "Why did he poison you anyway?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
She put her tool down and stood up. "Would you like a drink, it's only beer and it takes more to do anything for you, but it's a start." she said turning around and walking backwards to the office where the fridge was, stopping to wait for an answer. She shrugged when he mentioned that the place was quaint and growing on him. "It's nice not to have to hide my true nature." she said. "I think that's one of the reasons I like this place so much. That and the fact that it really is a nice little town. Big change from the city I grew up in." she said.
