I don't think you'll see a real big difference in the level of service from one company to another. They're all doing the same thing. Where you might notice a difference is in communication. Make sure whoever deal with is easily accessible, either over the phone or in person if they have a local office. For this reason, I like to go with an option that has a local office I can deal with if need be. I'm sure there's others out there that have a similar presence, but it's good to compare prices. As for an open versus enclosed carrier, there is more protection there but it's really only necessary in my opinion if the truck will be going through bad weather.
