General History:

Ardath Bey is the current alias of Jain-Hetep, known to history as Imhotep. The prime minister of the Pharaoh Djoser, he was the foremost sorcerer and all around renaissance man of his day. Long ago, he used his lifeforce to power a barrier spell against a great evil, which was undone 10 years ago by anthropologists that found his tomb, the site of the spell. The spell cancellation not only revived him, but rendered him immortal, susceptible only to decapitiation. Now, he searched the world for the evil he once imprisoned, all while getting acquainted with the new world he's been thrust into.

Though tall for his day, Ardath is on the slight side in modern times. He likes to look fancy, and wears suits most often accompanied by a long flowing jacket. He goes barefoot whenever he has the chance, finding modern shoes uncomfortable.
